The bad news is the Rockets lost two big games on back-to-back days. The even worse news is that Yao Ming is struggling.

The Rockets rookie center made his first shot then proceeded to miss his next 8, going 1-9 in just 16 minutes of play as Stephen Jackson (27 points), Tim Duncan (25 points on 12-16 shooting) and the Spurs roughed up the Rockets 98-85 in San Antonio.

The loss drops the Rockets (1-3 vs. San Antonio this season) a half-game behind the Suns for the 8th seed in the playoffs.
